Breath Takingly Beautiful

Thursday morning we got up and drove from Salt Lake City to Bryce Canyon. Bryce Canyon is located in SouthEast/SouthCentral Utah. It was, as the title of this post, Breath Takingly Beautiful! I enjoyed it a great deal more than the Grand Canyon.

There was quite a breeze - and we lost a good friend because of the wind. Emma's adorable hat that we purchased for her last spring decided to take a ride in the wind, over the side of the cliff. Brian and I looked at the hat, looked at the very steep, loose gravel cliff, and looked at Emma, and decided the $4.00 hat wasn't worth our lives. Brian told Emma if it had been her that had blown over the side of the cliff he would have gone to get her, but her hat wasn't THAT special! We said goodbye to the hat, blew it kisses, and told the hat it had been a good hat. (We have an almost two year old on our hands who has decided if she doesn't get what she wants she throws a fit, so we have been explaining a lot of things to prevent a meltdown!)

(Ignore the fact Emma is picking her nose!)

Highest Elevation Mom and Emma have ever been and still been on land. (Daddy still isn't sure)

"Natural Bridge" - Actually an arch.
