Day 1 - New Mexico to Prescott, AZ

Day 1 of our trip involved traveling from home to Prescott, AZ. We got to see parts of New Mexico we hadnt seen - still looked very similar to the parts we have seen. We stopped in Gilbert, AZ to see Mary, Addy, Cale, and to meet little Eli. It was a good thing we were able to make this stop, because about 45 minutes before we got there Emma decided she had had enough of the car for a little while and needed a break - we couldnt blame her because we were pretty much ready to be out of the car.

We had a wonderful visit with Mary and her kids. Addy is such a great little helper and sweet girl. Cale cracks me up - he's definetely a Daddy's boy, Ryan called while we were there and he HAD to talk to his Daddy. He was also so kind to share one of his cars with Emma - she was so excited and flapped her hands! We then drove to Prescott. We stayed in a nice hotel. We got there in the dark so we couldnt tell how nice it was till the next day.

The highlight of Saturday that didn't involve seeing people was getting to see a Saguaro Cactus. They are the cacti on the Arizona Liscence plate. As we entered Arizona I told Brian I wanted to see one - he said he wasnt sure if we would, he thought they were on the west side of Arizona. Well like ten minutes later we got to see a WHOLE bunch. I'll add a picture when I'm not at work and have access to our pictures. The pictures of them came out pretty good considering we took them from the car moving at 75 mph (Mom's and grandma's and concerned aunts, the speed limit out here in a lot of places is 75) :-p
