Sunday we drove from Gallup to Grants where we saw an ice cave and volcano... Not as exciting as we expected (the ice caves near Tom and Laura are far more fun!), but we were able to learn some things about volcanos we didnt know, and have a better understanding as to why that particular area is called the land of Fire and Ice.
On the way home we cut through the Missle Range (it cuts about half an hour off the drive) and we got to see some Oryx. So for those of you who've heard us talk about Oryx here is what they look like. (And yes they actually do have Oryx crossing signs!)
(Top of the hill looking at us)
(There are two looking at us through the brush... they blend in very well in the desert surrondings, their horns kinda look like yucca trees)
These pictures are after we got home... Emma climbed over that shelf and in these pictures is in the process of climbing back over. (YES, we have our hands full!)
(The progress is very funny!)
